Our archivist guides bring these bygone days vividly to life with rich storytelling, sharing tales of notorious outlaws, legendary lawmen, daring trailblazers, and the resilient families who helped shape Wyoming’s frontier spirit. Feel the charm of a slower era, breathe in the history carried on the Wyoming breeze, and see Buffalo from the seat of a wagon just like those that once crossed this rugged land. Don’t just read about the past—ride through it in true pioneer style. Grab your tickets and make your visit to Buffalo truly unforgettable! Boarding the wagon in the parking lot of the Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum, we will begin your experience with a one-hour horse-drawn tour throughout all the best parts of Buffalo's archival community. Local historians, Nancy Tabb or Richard Kendall will be along for the ride sharing stories from the past. This is a Johnson County Historical Society Collaboration.
